A fantastic illustration of a Scorpion, photographed from an old German book about insects. The book is from around the year 1800 and gives this scorpion the name "Scorpio afer." however, it has been difficult to gather information about Scorpio afer, and where I have exceptionally come across the claim that it is an old name that is synonymous with Heterometrus indus, I still thought that Heterometrus indus differs visually from the scorpion in the illustration, and I therefore do not yet dare to determine which species it is.
